Ear Lobe Repair

The earlobe is an area of the body that is vulnerable to tears or holes from the wearing of jewelry, such as large or heavier earrings. Unlike the rest of the ear, the earlobe does not contain hard cartilage. Repair of the earlobe is done in the office to improve the cosmetic look of the ear. There is typically no downtime after repair of a split or torn earlobe. Small sutures are placed to repair the injury and typically removed in 10- 14 days after the procedure.
